1. Zero Audio Retention Invariant

Your audio and video privacy is our top architectural priority:

• Client-Side Audio Extraction First: Raw video files are never transmitted to our servers. Your browser extracts the lightweight audio stream into a synchronous PCM WAV buffer before transmission, preserving your bandwidth and keeping non-audio video tracks entirely local.
• Ephemeral Cloud Storage: Audio files uploaded to our private Cloud Storage bucket (subt-media) are protected with deny-all security rules and accessible only via short-TTL V4 signed URLs. Files are automatically deleted immediately after job processing completes.
• No AI Model Training: Neither SubTarjama nor Google Cloud Vertex AI uses your uploaded audio, video, transcripts, or translations to train or improve public AI models.

2. Information We Collect

We adhere to strict data minimization principles:

• Account Data: When you authenticate via Google Sign-In or Email/Password, we store your user ID (UID) and email address in Google Cloud Firebase Authentication.
• Job Metadata: We store job records (duration in seconds, language options, credit costs, and generation status) in our named Firestore database (subtitle) so you can access your transcript history in your personal library.
• Payment Information: All payment transactions are handled directly by Stripe. SubTarjama never sees, handles, or stores your credit card or bank account details.

3. Data Security & Storage Architecture

All network communication uses end-to-end Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3). Database mutations are restricted to server-side authenticated transactions with strict Firestore security rules preventing unauthorized reads or balance tampering.

4. Your Data Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated job history at any time. Upon receiving your deletion request, your account and historical transcript artifacts will be permanently purged from our databases.
